Andy Lee is a retired Irish professional boxer, born on June 11, 1984, in Bow, London, England. He comes from a family of boxers; his grandfather, father, and two uncles were all boxers. Lee began boxing at the age of 8 and moved to Ireland with his family when he was 5 years old.
Lee had a successful career as a professional boxer, winning the WBO middleweight title in 2014 and holding it until 2015, with a professional record of 35 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. He retired from the sport in February 2018.
Apart from boxing, Lee is known for his charitable work, including his involvement with the Limerick based charity, Headway, which provides services and support to people with acquired brain injury. Lee has also worked as a boxing commentator and analyst for various TV networks.
